You came here because you saw my illustrations somewhere (I guess). And yes, I love fantasy stuff, especially dragons. I dreamed one day, I could create a world full of fantasy creatures.

I'm a UI designer in real life, working for a software company. Though I am not a professional in painting, I want to express my ideas through illustrations. (However, I have a master's degree in Design XD)

About this website

In the beginning, this website was used as a digital business card. Then some of my illustrations were placed, and I plan to add more content to the website.

Wunderkammer is where I wish to improve. I'll put all my paintings and other works I get from other artists in this section. I also want to put some fun stuff in this section, such as my character's and other people's character references. Or a place full of various dragon character references? I named this place Dragon Cosmos, so it should make sense.

The commission section may keep the status quo. I'll open commissions occasionally. Keep an eye on the status section(link) or other places like Twitter and FA, so you will get it when it's available.

Appellation

Herilan is my pseudonym. 'Eric' is partially accurate. My friend and people around me address me as Eric. I already forgot when and why I had this name, but it suits me well. My real name is complicated, on the other hand. In my tradition, I have two different first names and surnames. Both are not easy to speak in languages other than my native language. And yes, English isn't my first language. You might feel weird when I interpret things.

Coordinate

I came from somewhere Orient and have lived in the UK for 2 years. I also stay in France, Spain and Hong Kong for a while. Earth is a good place, even a lifetime isn't enough to see all the magnificent scenery. However, I still wish to visit somewhere out of the Sol system. I have an almost impossible dream of travelling to another habitable planet. (Maybe I just want to find out where dragons live)

Trivia

Games, music, cycling, short hike, fishing and occasionally bowling covers most of my entertainment.

Games are essential to me. I usually play FPS, strategy games and story-rich RPGs. I used to play R6s and Divinity, do more Hunt Showdown now. I have only played a few dragon games, mostly Spyro, Divinity and ARK(with mods). I hope one day I can play a new dragon RPG(or maybe ARPG).
